• About Hospice House

Where Quality of Life Matters

Hospice House is a place where individuals can live, find comfort and connect. With all the comforts of home including private individual rooms, beautiful gardens, and gathering rooms, there are ample places to spend time enjoying the company of loved ones and friends.

Individuals are cared for by a team of dedicated professionals leaving loved ones the opportunity to spend time without worrying about care needs. Some people come to stay at Hospice House during the final stage of their illness; others come just for a short time, for example, to help manage their symptoms or offer a break for the caregiver.

Hospice House is a part of Interior Health’s Hospice Palliative Care Program.

History of Central Okanagan Hospice House

In 2008, Hospice House opened its doors to provide a place of solace and support for those in their final stages of life.

Hospice House was built on the old Bennett homestead property, following an ambitious $3-million fundraising campaign. Led by the KGH Foundation in collaboration with the BC Cancer Agency and the Central Okanagan Hospice Association, and supported by many passionate community members and organizations, including Brad and Birgit Bennett, it is a quiet, peaceful home-away-from-home choice for those looking for an alternative to home.

Our People

The cornerstone of care is really in the people who work here.
