• Our People

While the facility and grounds of Hospice House provide a place of serenity, it’s the people who work at Hospice House who are the heart and soul.
Hospice House is staffed by a team of people highly skilled in providing personal and family-centered care. The individual and his or her family are invited to take an active part in planning care.

Hospice House is an Interior Health owned and operated facility staffed by professional and specialty trained Interior Health Care Staff.

Care Staff

  • Hospice House is staffed 24/7 by Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and Care Aids.
  • The family physician or nurse practitioner will visit and, in collaboration with Hospice House nursing staff, manage an individual’s medical care needs.
  • Your physician will be able to access the Palliative Physician consult team should they need assistance with symptom management.
  • Management and Nurse Coordinators are on site Monday to Friday.

  • A Social Worker (SW) is available Monday to Friday. SW offers psychosocial and counselling support to individuals and families as well as support for practical end of life needs.
  • Support Workers are responsible for food services, housekeeping, and laundry.
  • Other members of the team include Pharmacists, Occupational Therapists, Rehab Assistants, Physiotherapists, Respiratory Therapists and Dieticians.

Community Partners

Trained Volunteers from the Central Okanagan Hospice Association play an important role by providing support services such as bedside visits, vigil, and assistance at the front desk. They also support a variety of programs including contributing to the maintenance of our beautiful gardens.

Spiritual Care is available by request.
